I am fortunate to be a student on Uncle Bhaskar and Aunty Bhaskar. I remember Uncle B teaching my class some of the basic adavus, showing us eye movements and always lending a helping hand to the parents. When the institution moved to Waterloo Street, Uncle's leadership enabled us to perform and interact more with various artists from all fields of dance. He initiated the first Kathakali troupe in Singapore which is still going strong today. His speech at the end of each Nrityalaya's arangetram, his words of encouragement after each of Bhaskar's Academy shows will definitely be missed. Uncle B will definitely shower his blessings from a higher plane.
